There are a few good maps and charts in it, but mostly I find the maps very hard to read. For instance, several of the maps are shown with North not at the top of the map and instead are views as from 30,000 feet above a given city facing East or South or West. The map of Japan's conquest o|From Library Journal|Keegan and his distinguished team of consultants have produced a model atlas of a complex subject. The book's core is its operational maps. Technically well executed, they are complex but never confusing, and provide a comprehensive graphic
