This Kindle edition seems like it was put together well but for some reason the search index, when used with my Kindle Paperwhite, doesn't work. It does work using 's desktop app b|About the Author|Noah Webster was born in West Hartford, Connecticut in 1758. He came of age during the American Revolution and was instrumental in developing education in early America. He wrote and published the first truly American dictionary.

The 1828 version of Webster's Dictionary is excellent for those who wish to study older books written in English from that time period and before.
